ONE MAN DIES OTHER MISSING IN CHESTER COUNTY CANOE TRIP

An afternoon canoe trip in Chester County turned deadly today, authorities said.
Emergency responders from multiple municipalities rushed to the Brandywine Creek in East Bradford Township near the Brandywine picnic park (intersection of Creek Road and Route 52) in response to a 1:41 p.m. dispatch, police said.One man who was rescued from the swollen, fast-moving creek and taken to Chester County Hospital died this afternoon, police said. He was not immediately identified.  An employee of the Brandywine Picnic Park called for help after seeing the two disappeared in 12 feet of water after going over a 4ft cliff.

After an hour of searching for his male companion, authorities as we know are still actively searching
This is a very sad and all to common story in the spring and summer months. People have to realize that after raining for several days that the current will be alot more powerful. Please everyone be careful this summer.

Update – The search for the missing man in the Brandywine resumed again this morning 6/10 at 8:00 am
