THIS IS BIZARRE

A freshly severed leg found in the Delaware River may have been stripped of clues before being tossed in, the New Jersey State Police said yesterday.

The left leg with a 9-inch foot was found by a worker Sunday morning near a pier at the Sunoco Eagle Point Refinery, in West Deptford, Gloucester County, said Sgt. Julian Castellanos.

“It was a clean-cut just below the knee, in very good condition,” he said. “There were no socks, no shoes, marks or tattoos.”

Castellanos said that it appeared that the leg had not been in the water long, and that a strip of flesh near the calf may have been removed to eliminate an identifying feature.

Investigators have determined that the leg belongs to a body 5 feet 1 to 5 feet 4 tall, but it was unclear whether it belonged to a woman or a man. DNA samples were taken yesterday, Castellanos said.

That is creepy, I mean hasn’t anyone showed up at local hospitals?  Or why was only the leg found, where is the rest of the body???  Ohhhh, I get chills.

From the Daily Local News

WEST CHESTER — The grief was palpable Friday in Courtroom Eight as the youth who unintentionally killed two of his best friends in a car crash was sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in prison.

Kevin Demichiel, 19, of Lightning Lane, Lincoln University, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, DUI and other offenses in connection with an Oct. 18, 2008, crash in Elk.

Demichiel and two of his best friends, Stephen Bare and Troy Thompson, had traveled to Maryland to visit a race track. On their way back, Demichiel was driving his 1992 Ford Mustang. On Route 472 just north of State Road at 1:15 a.m., he lost control of the car around a turn and crashed into another car. Bare and Thompson died at the scene; the other vehicle’s driver was seriously injured.

A state trooper detected an odor of alcohol on Demichiel, and a blood test determined his blood-alcohol content was 0.044 percent, which is above the 0.02 percent legal threshold for minors. Demichiel said he had had a few beers and had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening, although a blood test didn’t reveal marijuana or other intoxicants.

Addressing Demichiel, the judge said, “Your conduct was terrible, speeding on a public road considering the twists and turns of roads in Chester County as well as the drinking and smoking marijuana. The families are satisfied with the penalties, but I don’t necessarily agree that it is enough, but I am going to accept it. I saw the tears in your eyes, and I think they were real. Knowing that you caused the death of two of your closest friends — that must be a burden you have to bear.”   Don’t all DUI victims and family members feel this way???  What makes this case different??

Now you read that, read this

In Pennsylvania, DUI offenders who are minors (18 to 21 years old) are processed like adults while offenders who are juveniles (under 18 years old) are processed through juvenile court. Penalties for juvenile offenders may differ from adult DUI offenders.  Straight from the Pennsylvania Liqour Control Board, which would make this Kevin Demichiel, 19 an adult under th Pa. DUI Statutes.  Is anyone confused here???

He is not a minor under Pa Law, he is now 19 confusing???

HOMICIDE BY VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Section 3735 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code

Any person who unintentionally causes the death of another person as the result of… driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and who is convicted of violating [the law regarding driving under the influence] is guilty of a felony of the second degree when the violation is the cause of death.

The penalty is a mandatory sentence of 3-10 years incarceration and consecutive 3-10 year terms for each victim whose death is a result. The fine may be as high as $25,000 per victim.  Straight from the Pa. Liquor Control Board.

Pennsylvania Drunk Driving Laws

When is a driver considered to be legally drunk in Pennsylvania?

  • Non-commercial drivers age 21+ are considered legally drunk when their blood alcohol level is .08 or more.
  • Drivers of commercial vehicles are legally drunk when their blood alcohol concentration is .04 percent or greater.
  • School bus drivers are legally drunk when their blood alcohol level is .02 or more.
  • Drivers under 21 are legally drunk when their blood alcohol concentration is .02 or more

The Pa. Law kills me too, they are so vague in everything.  They give you 100 examples of DUI,s  for the minor , which in some instances they say under 21 but above 18, yet they only give you the law pertaining to DUI , not Homicide by Vehicle while DUi, yet they say the terms are the same.  I think Pa. needs to say what it means, its very confusing, and If I were a good lawyer and had the time I would have a hayday with this one!

Pa. just tell us, what are the laws pertaining to Minors for Homicide By Vehicle while DUI, and exactly what is a minor, you can’t even outline that right, in one stance your saying minors are 18-21  and treated like adults while dui, yet nowhere do you outline the Homicide While DUI for the Minors, I just searched the Pa Law and can not find, so can someone tell me that law ????  I am beginning to think Chester County has selective sentencing and Pa. Laws apply only to some, we need to get to the bottom of this and get some answers.  I guess no one is reading this……..

Pennsylvania homeowners will receive nearly $770 million in property tax relief in 2009, delivering on Governor Rendell’s promise to help reduce the burden of property taxes.

Approximately 110,000 Pennsylvania seniors will pay no school property taxes again this year, thanks to state-funded property tax relief, and many more will receive rebates of up to $975 in addition to the property tax relief that all homeowners receive.

Again this year, gaming revenue will reduce annual statewide school district property tax bills by about 10 percent, averaging nearly $200 for 2.7 million households across the state. Click here for an estimate of the amount of property tax relief in each school district.

Eligible senior citizens can benefit from both this general property tax relief and the state’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. For approximately 110,000 senior households taking advantage of both programs, school property taxes will be eliminated. Learn more

“Property tax relief is real and it is making a difference in the lives of older adults and hard-working families across Pennsylvania,” Governor Rendell said.

Eligible Pennsylvanians can sign up now to have Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications mailed to them. or call, toll-free, 1-888-222-9190.

Expanded Relief for SeniorsExpanded Relief for SeniorsOf all Pennsylvania homeowners, our seniors face the greatest property tax burden, as they live on fixed incomes but are faced with rising property taxes. The passage of the Taxpayer Relief Act is already helping seniors and disabled residents remain in their homes and make ends meet through property tax relief. More seniors than ever before are getting the extra help they need through a major expansion of the state Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.

An additional 420,000 seniors are eligible to receive help paying their property taxes or rent, and more than 200,000 will have their school property taxes completely eliminated, when statewide property tax relief is delivered to all homeowners from gaming funds.

The income eligibility level for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program has been raised from $15,000 a year to $35,000 a year, excluding half of Social Security income, and the maximum rebate was increased from $500 to $650 for homeowners. Claimants or spouses 65 years of age or older; widows or widowers 50 years of age or older; and the permanently disabled 18 years of age or older may qualify for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.

The changes to the rebate program’s income limits and maximum rebate went into effect for the 2006 tax year, and the first rebates under the new income eligibility requirements were issued in July 2007.

In addition, the law gives even more tax relief to the seniors in most need:
Seniors who live in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or Scranton, where local wage/income tax rates are very high, will not benefit from a local tax shift to lower taxes on top of the reduction offered by the state funded property tax relief. To ensure that seniors in these communities receive significant property tax relief, each senior household with income under $30,000 has its property tax rebate increase by an additional 50 percent.

In addition, property tax rebates are increased by an additional 50 percent for senior households in the rest of state, so long as those households have incomes under $30,000 and pay more than 15 percent of income in property taxes. The extra help for seniors in urban school districts and for those who pay more than 15 percent of their income in property taxes will become available when statewide property tax relief is delivered to all homeowners.

We recently went to Carpet Mart in Exton, and I have to say, they are not professional at all.  When we first walked in a Lady rushed over to help us, I was friendly but she wasn’t.  As our conversation went on you could tell she just wanted to sell anything.  She had no answers for my questions, swayed me to the cheaper stuff in the wharehouse ( did I give her that impression by my painting clothes I ran out in )  Oh well, you should never judge a book by its cover.  Anyway to make a long story short, I really wasn’t sure what I wanted, but after talking to her and the others at the counter,  I am ashamed to say I let them rush me.  I was scheduling my appointment to measure for the carpet when I thought I might be interested in hardwood floors in my hallway and dining room, but right away she and another man working there cut me off and said, thats a whole other appointment.  I guess it was the way they said it, and they didn’t want to answer any other questions, but I just let it go with the carpet.

I will get my hardwood floors somewhere else.  Anyway, a month or two goes by after my carpet is installed and nothing.  I hear nothing, I get no carpet info, warranty info, etc.  I call them, they then apologize and say the sales lady was supposed to give me that info, but she quit.  Oh Well, La De Da,  You are in a business, you should know whats going on in your business, and if you don’t , you need to hire other people or take it on yourself to see the people that are willing to give you their business at least have their questions answered.  Sorry, you lose, I will get my hardwood floors somewhere else.

Having a beer at Chelsy's Tavern in Downingtown after turning in their Reynolds ID badges are (from left) Rick Wilson, who worked three years at the plant; Walt Hudson, a 15-year employee; and Corey Dickinson, a 10-year veteran

In Downingtown, aftermath of a plant closing Very sad situation which is all to common right now!

For more than 50 years, workers at the Reynolds Packaging plant in Downingtown have been printing packaging for consumer goods — from pouch tobacco to chocolate milk. The facility has changed hands several times over those years, but its most recent owner, the Rank Group in New Zealand, decided to close the factory, putting more than 120 people out out of work. Brentwood Industries Inc. in Reading bought the thermoform packaging part of the plant’s business and has offered employment to about two dozen workers in that group. They gathered for a picnic recently to talk over old times. Not all of them are sure they want to make the longer commute from their homes in Downingtown and Coatesville to Reading. Most of the plant’s employees worked on the flexible packaging and printing side of the business. They hoped a buyer would take over the plant and save their jobs, but it didn’t happen. Late in March, employees turned in their badges at the plant, some gathering for one last round at Chelsy’s Tavern in Downingtown.

Tom Stevenson, of Twin Valley Veterinary Clinic in Honey Brook, was charged with a first degree misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty for allegedly cutting off a puppy’s tail while holding it under scalding water with no anesthesia. Charges were brought by a Pennsylvania SPCA investigator who witnessed the incident at a Lancaster County kennel last month. Stevenson is the veterinarian of record for thousands of dogs housed in many of the largest kennels in Lancaster County.

A Lancaster County police criminal complaint states that Stevenson treated a 9-week-old mixed poodle’s already injured and bleeding tail by “soaking it in scalding water” and then cutting it off with shears “without sedation or prior numbing of the tail.”

Stevenson could not be reached for comment yesterday; messages left at his clinic were not returned. If he is convicted of animal cruelty, his license could be suspended or revoked.

Also charged with animal cruelty was Samuel King, the owner of Country Lane kennel, where the incident occurred, according to the criminal complaint.

“The dog was screaming, and screaming, and screaming,” Smith said yesterday. “You could see the blood. You could see the exposed bone.”

This is just sick, what is this world coming too.  These vets, and puppy mill owners, kennels, they should be the ones that love the dogs, that should be why they are in the business.  Obviously it’s not, it’s all about the money.  This Vet and all the Kennel owners who pay and send their puppies there should be shut down today.

This vet is a disturbed, heartless man, no one else could do this, and he should never, ever be allowed around another animal as long as he lives.

Maybe someone should stick his protruding part in scalding water and then chop it off , that seems like fit punishment to me.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A 4-year-old California boy may be permanently blinded after police say his father bit out one of his eyes and mutilated the other.

Bakersfield police say 34-year-old Angel Vidal Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP when he attacked the boy April 28. Afterwards police say Mendoza rolled his wheelchair outside and began hacking at his own legs with an ax.

Four-year-old Angelo Mendoza Jr. told police, “my daddy ate my eyes.”

Doctors at Mercy Hospital say it’s unclear whether Angelo will regain vision in his right eye.

The boy’s mother wasn’t home at the time.

Mendoza is due in court Wednesday. Charges include mayhem, torture and child cruelty. Jail officials say they don’t know whether he has an attorney.

Very disturbing!!!

I know the chances are one in a trillion, but lets face it, people do win.  You can’t win if you don’t play.  I bought my tickets and now I can sit back and dream about what I would do with all the money.  I couldn’t imagine, I mean after helping out all my family and friends, paying their homes and cars off, or buying new, and putting money in the bank for everyone, there would still be so much left.

Let me dream!!!

Just remember though, Money can’t buy happiness which is true, you can be rich and have health problems, or face terrible tragedy’s, now if that’s the case I would rather be poor!

Oh Well, why can’t we all be rich, healthy, and just have a good time!!!

RMC Bash

WHEN:  July 23rd, 24th, 25th 2009
WHERE: Reading MC Club Grounds in Oley, PA

http://www.readingmc.com/anniversary.html click for info

I had the best times at RMC, wild, crazy times.  Years ago it was so different than it is now.  It really got commercialized because it got so big, but it’s still a  great party.  I remember years ago just pulling my car in parking and leaving it there while mingling around partying for the weekend.

Now you park a mile away if you have a car and a bus brings you in.  The old days were the best though.  Sitting by the keg trucks all night, listening to bands.

I know I’m getting older because I haven’t been there the last 5 or years because I can’t take the heat.  It’s always the last full weekend in July and it’s so humid and hot.  Ugggghhhh!  I can take the sun, but not the humidity. I might try to go this year though.  I will hope for a cooler July, you never know.

I also want to say this is the first year of RMC after the death of a great friend and person Betty Jordan.  Betty and Mike were there years ago when I first went and many years after until Betty got sick.  Betty I miss you, I hope your partying in heaven and your suffering is over.

panic-button

I will never forget it. It’s been 23 years but it’s just one of those moments as a parent you do not forget. My Son David who was 3 at the time, came out to the kitchen showing off a seashell he stuck up his nose. Oh my God, panic set in. I still do not know where this tiny seashell came from??

All I could remember was my Mother telling me this horror story of how someone she knew, knew someone who heard of a child putting something in their nose and it going into their brain and killing them. I didn’t know if this was true, but it was all I could think about. I panicked, I tried to get him to blow out, all the while trying to tell a 3 year old to blow out, but don’t breathe in, it wasn’t working I was scared to death, I was scaring him, my 3 year old was looking at me like I was insane, I was at that moment.

We tried the blow thing a couple of times, nothing, that shell was lodged. I had so many things running through my mind at that time, the horror story my Mother told me, and she had many and still does, thinking should I call an ambulance? I was thinking the worst, I was a new mom and as I said this was 23 years ago.

THEN IT HIT ME, IT CAME BACK FROM SOMEWHERE DEEP IN MY MIND, IT WAS AMAZING!! Your brain actually has the ability to keep things hidden until you need them, unbelievable!

I will get back to the shell adventure after I tell you what came back to me out of nowhere, it just popped into my head at that second after minutes (what seemed like hours of panic mode).

Did you ever hear someone talking and your not really paying attention or trying to, but you happen to catch part of the conversation?? When I was pregnant with my third child I was attending Cosmetology school. I already had two toddlers at home, and school was so relaxing for me. I loved it, it was my time out. Anyway, I went for my lunchbreak at a nearby coffee house. It was small and tables were close together. I was sitting at a table by myself eating lunch and overheard two much older women talking about a child getting something stuck in his nose and they proceeded to talk about how they removed it.

Funny thing is, I never thought more about it, I so far never had to deal with that. I just thought, they are the sweetest little women sharing advice. I really wasn’t trying to listen, you just couldn’t help overhearing them. They were so cute, they were tiny little African American women with pretty grey hair and glasses, just talking away. What’s funny, is they were talking about everything, I couldn’t even tell you what, but for some unknown reason I heard this clearly and it stuck with me. It came back to my mind several years later out of the blue.

The one lady told the other, ” Yeah, it was really stuck in his nose. I held his head in my hands, I covered his ears tight with my hands and blew in his mouth.” then they proceeded to laugh and talk about other things. I finished my lunch and left, never thinking that advice would be needed let alone used several years later. Never thought about it again.

Not until that dreaded moment, then out of nowhere, it came back. I’m sitting there in the kitchen with my son, praying, crying, thinking horrible thoughts, thinking of my Mothers horror story and it just came back. I grabbed his head, covered both ears tight in my hands, and blew forcefully into his mouth. The shell flew out, hit the wall and bounced on the floor. I was so happy, I grabbed him, hugged him, thanked God and everyone else, and to this day I will never forget the shell or the sweet little ladies in the coffee shop.

A couple years ago I was able to help a friend out with this advice. She called me in tears saying the police and ambulance were at her house and taking her Grandaughter to the emergency ward because she had something stuck in her nose. They told her they would remove it at the emergency ward, she was so upset. I stayed on the phone and told her what to do, the Police and ambulance techs thought she was crazy when she repeated this to them. Her son did the exact same manuever and it worked instantly, needless to say they were all amazed, even my friend I think thought it sounded like nonsense.

This is great advice, proven to work many times. It will save the child and parent so much pain and torment.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – For years, the juvenile court system in Wilkes-Barre operated like a conveyor belt: Youngsters were brought before judges without a lawyer, given hearings that lasted only a minute or two, and then sent off to juvenile prison for months for minor offenses.

The explanation, prosecutors say, was corruption on the bench.

In one of the most shocking cases of courtroom graft on record, two Pennsylvania judges have been charged with taking millions of dollars in kickbacks to send teenagers to two privately run youth detention centers.

“I’ve never encountered, and I don’t think that we will in our lifetimes, a case where literally thousands of kids’ lives were just tossed aside in order for a couple of judges to make some money,” said Marsha Levick, an attorney with the Philadelphia-based Juvenile Law Center, which is representing hundreds of youths sentenced in Wilkes-Barre.

Prosecutors say Luzerne County Judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan took $2.6 million in payoffs to put juvenile offenders in lockups run by PA Child Care LLC and a sister company, Western PA Child Care LLC. The judges were charged on Jan. 26 and removed from the bench by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court shortly afterward.

No company officials have been charged, but the investigation is still going on.

The high court, meanwhile, is looking into whether hundreds or even thousands of sentences should be overturned and the juveniles’ records expunged.

Among the offenders were teenagers who were locked up for months for stealing loose change from cars, writing a prank note and possessing drug paraphernalia. Many had never been in trouble before. Some were imprisoned even after probation officers recommended against it.

Many appeared without lawyers, despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 1967 ruling that children have a constitutional right to counsel.

‘I have disgraced my judgeship’
The judges are scheduled to plead guilty to fraud Thursday in federal court. Their plea agreements call for sentences of more than seven years behind bars.

Ciavarella, 58, who presided over Luzerne County’s juvenile court for 12 years, acknowledged last week in a letter to his former colleagues, “I have disgraced my judgeship. My actions have destroyed everything I worked to accomplish and I have only myself to blame.” Ciavarella, though, has denied he got kickbacks for sending youths to prison.

Conahan, 56, has remained silent about the case.

Many Pennsylvania counties contract with privately run juvenile detention centers, paying them either a fixed overall fee or a certain amount per youth, per day.

These are the worst.  I mean what will some people do for money???

Ciavarella above calls what he did a disgrace, no disgrace is too good of a word for what you did, what you took for your greed, you can not give back to the youth that you stole from.  7 years is also too good for you, you should get life as you have screwed up so many all for the sake of a dollar.  You are pathetic.  Your only crying now because you got caught!!!!!

They should also have their assets freezed and have their homes and other luxury items sold to pay back their debt like they do to drug dealers when caught.  Pathetic!!!!!!

If they didn’t get caught, they would still be doing it, pathetic, worse than the lowest form of drug dealer on the street.  No better, they are taking something you can’t get back, like life, and mind, and time, for money, and destroying it, maybe some of these kids are scarred for life.

They better take everything they own like they do drug dealers because they are no better, and what they have as far as luxury, is because of a felony and worse.  I will be following up on this story.

This judge, just kills me now how he is crying, I don’t care, he is only crying because he got caught, Life and Sell everything he owes and pay it back to the kids he screwed up.

Believe me, there are many more crooked Judges, the shame of it is, we don’t have enough proof to bring them down, but trust me, there are plenty, think about it,

Judges were lawyers first, what’s that tell you.  I know your supposed to respect Judges, but I don’t, they are where they are because of who they know, and in my book, Im sorry, but I have only seen a few fair and honest Judges, and that’s it.  They can wreck and ruin your life, or give a favor to someone they know, this is not how our country should be run, not by the decision of a Judge who may be bought or crooked, the old English law has got to go.

It won’t in my lifetime, but believe me, I know the system and it sucks!!!!!! and it can be bought by money or who you know

We will address this in another post.

Plain Crazy!!!! Just when you think you have heard it all, read this!! Where do they find these people>>>

Alcoholics Anonymous hotline volunteer Russell C. Mentzer went on trial in Cumberland County Court this afternoon on charges that he raped a woman who had called the hotline for help battling her alcoholism.

The 51-year-old woman testified that, instead of helping her, Mentzer, 45, of Middlesex Twp., had her drink wine until she passed out. She said she woke up naked in Mentzer’s bed.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Daniel Sodus said Mentzer at first claimed he didn’t have sex with the woman. When DNA tests showed he had sexual contact with her, Mentzer claimed it was consensual, Sodus said.

Deputy Public Defender John Shugars said Mentzer and the woman did have sex, but that there was no rape. He said Mentzer will testify during the trial.

According to the Patriot-News articles, after the woman called the hotline for help to avoid a relapse into drinking, Mentzer convinced her to come to her house. He then asked the woman if she had any alcohol. She said she had a big bottle of wine in her car, and he told her to bring it into the house. She expected he would pour it into the sink. Instead, he convinced her to drink most of it until she passed out. He was charged with having sex with a woman who was in no condition to give her consent.

Cemetery_03_1961

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Police have searched a western Pennsylvania cemetery after a maintenance worker reported finding a photo of an infant, a bloody T-shirt and electrical tape.

State Trooper Brian Burden says Thursday’s search was carried out even though it was unclear whether foul play was involved in the discovery in North Union Township, Fayette County. That’s about 40 miles south-southeast of Pittsburgh.

Writing on the back of the photo says, “To Uncle Frank, Love Randy and Ricky.”

,,,

This is bizarre.  It doesn’t say, but I hope they dig up and around the cemetery, I mean the bloody shirt came from somewhere.  Give me goosebumps.

old lady driving

An older lady gets pulled over for speeding…

Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?

Officer: Ma’am, you were speeding.

Older Woman: Oh, I see.

Officer: Can I see your license please?

Older Woman: I’d give it to you but I don’t have one.

Officer: Don’t have one?

Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.

Officer: I see.  Can I see your vehicle registration papers, please.

Older Woman: I can’t do that.

Officer: Why not?

Older Woman: I stole this car

Officer: Stole it?

Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.

Officer: You what?

Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see

The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.

Officer 2: Ma’am, could you step out of your vehicle please! The woman steps out of her vehicle.

Older woman: Is there a problem sir?

Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.

Older Woman: Murdered the owner?

Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.

The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer 2: Is this your car, ma’am?

Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers.
The officer is quite stunned.

Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.  The officer examines the license.  He looks quite puzzled.

Officer 2: Thank you ma’am, one of my officers told me you didn’t have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.

Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too!!!!

Kevin Demichiel was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 months,  I thought the mandatory minimum was 3 years for Vehicular Homicide by vehicle while intoxicated was a minimum 3 years per fatality.

SOME RECENT EXAMPLES

Jacob Potts, 27, of Phoenixville, had been driving south on Charlestown Road shortly after midnight Feb. 2 when he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the opposite lane, striking another car head-on. His girlfriend, 25-year-old Emily Hayes of Phoenixville, died later of injuries she suffered in the crash.
Gavin said he was planning on giving Potts a longer sentence for his second DUI offense, but honored the families’ request of a minimal sentencing.
Potts was sentenced to a minimum three years with no more than 10 years in prison. The time he previously spent in drug and alcohol rehab will not be deducted from upcoming prison time.

After nearly five hours of arguments and tearful testimonies from loved ones of both the defendant and victim — a rookie state trooper — a Common Pleas judge sentenced the admitted drunk driver to 8½ to 17 years in prison for taking the trooper’s life and endangering the life of her 4-year-old son.

Why won’t the Judges or anyone answer, doesn’t anyone know ????

I drive up G.O. Carlson Blvd. many times a day.  I think it should be renamed NATURE BLVD.

The wildlife I see there on a daily basis is amazing.  I have seen baby and adult foxes, deer, rabbits, ducks, geese, herons, all types of beautiful birds. I think I saw a bald eagle perched in one of the trees, I’m not kidding,  It’s amazing, I have got to get my camera down there and get some photos for the site.

It would be great to have the Blvd. renamed.  Also while they were at it, it should be treated as a sanctuary to protect wildlife and if people speed, they should be ticketed severely.

There are also many families and kids that walk, jog, ride bikes and stroll this area.  I am amazed at the ignorance and disregard for the human and wildlife here.  I can not tell you how many times I see drivers come down that road 55 miles per hour, they look like they are going to swerve into me or up on the curb.  Many people use it as a cut through from RT. 340 to Seltzer Ave. to avoid business 30.  They need to slow down and have respect for people and wildlife.  Again if the police need help, I would gladly take on the job of catching them and turning the tickets in.  Caln Township would have so much money for improvements.

Also people, watch yourself, because I am filming the speeders going by on Seltzer and getting your license numbers.  I see the same one go by in the 25 mph zone at 50 mph and more.  There are children and pets here.  If your brazen enough to speed Im brazen enough to get your license plate on my digital camera.

The heavy fines would teach the drivers with ignorance for the people and wildlife when they are caught speeding, and it would benefit Caln Township as to put the fines into other areas in Caln Township.  I think it would be a win win situation.

I recieved 2 flyers for Lou Marcelli in the past 2 days regarding his run for Caln District Court Magisterial Judge.  I am confused as to his message.  Im sure he means well, but I do not think even may realize the seriousness of this message on the flyer.  We all know it would be great if we didn’t need Attorneys to settle our disputes, and many times there are not needed.  I feel strongly though in todays world one little mistake at a District Court appearance would be very hard to reverse later, and it would also cost you more in the long run trying to change any outcome.

I also have to wonder if a former police officer can be fair?   If a police officer he knows comes in, and the defendant maybe is innocent, will Lou really see both sides or just assume his

gavel

police officer friend is always right and all other police because he was a former police officer.  I have a hard time with that.  I don’t know, I have to wonder.  It would be a lovely world if all police, judges, and other people in power are honest and fair as they should be,  however we do not live in that world.   I read the news enough to know that is not so.  I’m just wondering, if that can be done in all honesty, can Lou Marcelli put the case in front of him and judge fairly.

Nothing personal, I’m sure he is a very nice guy on a personal level.  I just have a tough time believing that a former police officer can be impartial.

DONALD TRUMP ISN’T FIRING MISS CA CARRIE PREJEAN

I’m sorry but this woman is a whack job.  She is talking Satan and God all the while posing in nude photos. The worst part is how she is lying about the nude photo shoot.

First she is saying she wasn’t even aware of the photos, the photographer took them while she was undressing and she was didn’t even know it???   Miss Ca is mad at the photographer for taking and printing them.  Then she is saying she didn’t remember the shoot, she was 16, I mean the womans not 80, how bad can her memory be?  Then she has the nerve to say the photo shoot was a windy day, like it just all the sudden blew her shirt open.

What is it Miss Ca?  Make up your mind, was it the wind, sneak photo shoots while you were undressing, or simply you just don’t remember?????

The donald is calling this the 21st century, your right, it is the 21st Century, however shouldn’t that open up the Pageant to many other 21st Century beliefs ?

How many other women maybe were not able to compete because of the same situation?  How many others possibly knew they had the same type photos some where but didn’t enter because of it.

Can I throw up now?????

I think she also has a way to twist things to make herself believe the opposite, I think she is a big joke and if that’s what this competition has come to, it’s a big joke also.

The whole press conference was sickening on her and the donalds behalf.  Anyone that would believe on word of it is out of their minds

CHENEY YOUR DONE, LEAVE US ALONE 8 IS ENOUGH

Cheney, appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation, said he was taking the side of Rush Limbaugh over Powell in the ongoing dispute in the GOP between the conservative talk show host and moderate retired general.

Please Please Please, Cheney go away!!!!  This Man I always knew was radical , but why do we have to hear from him now?   He is done, go away, stay away.  Your done, why is it we are hearing him on the news every other day now since President Obama was elected, yet for 8 years all he did was sit in the background with his joker grin.

How and Why is the media giving him this attention?

Cheyney. Limbaugh, Palin, Go Away, please media let them go away gracefully, quit giving them the attention they do not deserve.  They love it, they miss it.  I can not believe Dick Cheney actually misses the limelight, just like his buddy Sarah Palin.  They will do anything and say anything to stay in the public eye.

One more thing, this goes to show that Dick C. was always what I thought he was, one of the good ole boys, out for the rich, white, wealthy.  He has just proven my case, he will side with Rush Limbaughs beliefs over Colin Powells>

I may not have always agreed with Colin Powell, but I would never, ever, even put Limbaugh and Colin Powell  on the same playing ground.  Republican or Democrat has nothing to do with it. Rush Limbaugh is a hate monger, a racist, a drug addict, a hypocrite, the list goes on and on.  How could any person in such power now or previous even think or tie themselves to Rush Limbaugh, liek he is someone??  The man was addicted to Oxycontin, he is a drug addict, he is a racist, come on Cheney, you have to do better than this.  Really though, I don’t care, I could not wait until you and Bush were out of there, I didn’t want to hear anymore from your Rich Pathetic for the Big Wig Administration, I’m hearing you more.  At least Bush has the decency to go away quietly.  Take a hint and follow!!!

Cheney, you just proved my point.  Go home, go to bed, get off of the Tv.  I am sick of watching you.  Take your hate somewhere else, you better get right with God to since you claim to be such a Christian, God doesn’t believe in hate, or racism.  With your health problems instead of being on TV everyday talking nonsense you should be in Church!

click on above link to see Eminems Video
Eminem I love it, hilarious and right on the money. Fan from the Beginning.
According to Us Weekly, the outspoken Fox News host slapped the rapper on his Fox talk show for mocking Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in a video titled “We Made You.”
On the song, Eminem raps, “I’ll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner, nail her / Baby, say hello to my little friend.”
“Few Americans take the vile rapper Eminem seriously,” O’Reilly told his audience. “He represents the lowest form of entertainment in this country and is a publicity hound to boot.” O’Reilly adds that “no one over 25 listens to him.”
O’Reilly admitted surprise that women’s groups and “left wing” media outlets are not protesting the rapper’s video, which also mocks Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, Kim Kardashian, Kevin Federline and John Mayer.
And we could have sworn we saw Marilyn Manson in there too. What, no Nadya Suleman

Bill O’Reilly please speak for yourself. You have this bad habit of bringing everyone into your conversations. I am 49, have friends of all ages and we love Eminem, always have. For you to say no one over 25 listens to him is a mistatement, as so often comes from your mouth and fox news. You try to talk for everyone and push your views on the public. Please do not speak for everyone over or under 25, you have no clue!!

“Few Americans take the vile rapper Eminem seriously,” O’Reilly told his audience. “He represents the lowest form of entertainment in this country and is a publicity hound to boot.” O’Reilly adds that “no one over 25 listens to him.”

No Bill, you, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, Palin and fox news are the lowest form of entertainment in this country and talk about publicity hounds. You have got to be kidding! You better watch some of your own news clips and those of your fox associates. Bill, no one with any mind takes you seriously.

Sarah Palin is pathetic. She put herself and her children out there for exploitation during her Vice President campaign. Parading two young unwed teens with a baby on the way to boost her campaign. Her daughter Bristol is now doing the same thing. She loves the limelight.

The only thing Eminem did wrong was giving her any media attention at all, you know she is loving it…and forgetting to add Elizabeth Hasslebeck

These people in this video love the attention, they are in the media everyday making fools of themselves, so he is just helping them.

There are people in any community who go about their lives in a quiet fashion, ruffling no feathers and roiling no waters. Excerpt From the Daily Local News today.

ON THE AWARD FOR JOHN DUFFY.  GIVE DONATONI ONE TOO.

Well, he has ruffled our feathers.  What he did to our Mother in a time of tragedy to benefit himself,  is at the least criminal.  He took money from my Mother who was waiting on a payment from her insurance company for the death of her husband in a hit and run accident.  This poor woman had two tragedy’s within months of each other and John Duffy and Robert Donatoni saw away to profit from this misery.

Robert Donatoni was the first Attorney my Mother hired for her Grandson.  My Mother paid over $30,000  to initially represent her Grandson.  My Mother didn’t have the money, she took her life savings from her retirement to pay him, hoping her Grandson would get a fair trial.  That’s all she wanted, was fair and proper representation for him.  Robert Donatoni apparently worked under Duffy when first starting out we were told.  Robert Donatoni promised my Mother the world.

I knew he was bad news for my nephew and her from the beginning, he was a fast talker , but wouldn’t answer any questions.  I told my Mother this, in fact he asked her not to bring me to any meetings with him because he knew that I knew what was going on,  and could see right through him.   He was always a wreck, crying about going through a divorce, saying how he was having a rough time, he was depressed,  he should have never took on this case let alone any,  snorting, sniffling, pacing around, couldn’t sit still, but knew how to talk.  I saw through him though, if my Mother would have just listened then.  He was a fast and smooth talker, I knew then,  a good lawyer doesn’t promise you anything, he promises he will do the best he can.

I saw right through him, it’s a shame my Mother didn’t listen then, but she believed him, he called her when I was not around promising her everything, he was actually telling her not to listen to me, this is a good Attorney??  Well, yeah, I guess that’s why they get the name they do.  It’s a shame for any good ones out there .  Again this is why he didn’t want me around after that because he knew he could talk to my Mother, stressed out, depressed  who just lost her husband and had all this going on.

We will get back to Robert Donatoni later in another post and ebook coming soon, along  with why this case was handled the way it was, what happened, what didn’t happen, and so forth.

After my nephew was hung out to dry by Donatoni his own Attorney,  and sentenced, my nephew needed someone for an appeal.  We went to John Duffy because I always heard he was a great defense Attorney,  and advised my Mother to call him,  Stupid Me, I could kick myself now, and  everyday, over and over.

We met with him and we just wanted to talk to him, he promised us the world,  he said for 2 cents he would sue Donatoni, making him look bad the whole time, going on and on, sounding so good, just what we wanted to hear, or needed to hear at the time.  My Mother felt a glimmer of hope, and he knew it.  John Duffy knew it and played on it.

My Mother told him she was expecting an insurance check in a couple of weeks, and she would hire him then, he said he would wait and again promised her the world.

John Duffy kept calling telling her, we need to move on this, did you get the check yet, and my poor Mother just kept stressing and telling him not yet that she was waiting , and hadn’t heard anything yet.  I could see it in her face, how upset she was, we all were, we had the death of my Father, and this tragedy .  We were all in shock over this, all the while an Attorney you think is on your side , is calling you for money and laying on the guilt and how much you need him while waiting only for a check .  John Duffy is worried only about his $25,000 check.  Yes, John Duffy, you deserve an award!!!

My Mother told him, I didn’t get the insurance money yet, I will have to let him get a public defender, all the while a nervous wreck and worried and upset,  John Duffy swore up and down that she needed him, that no public defender could handle this.  So he continued to call her and waited for her check to come in, all along my Mother is hoping for this great white hope.

John Duffy did nothing, he waited, he took a check for $25,000 and handed this case to P.J. Redmond who also did nothing.  P. J. Redmond was practicing under John Duffy at the time, he wasn’t a partner, my Mother would have never agreed to let P. J. Redmond represent her Grandson and let alone pay him that kind of money.  John Duffy lied to her about this, he took the money and had no input on the case except to ask for the money. We are not talking about paying a lawyer fee of $500.00 here, which is even alot for someone who doesn’t have it, we are talking alot of money.  It’s okay if you get what you pay for, if you get an Attorney who calls you, calls his client, visits him, prepares a case, Duffy and Donatoni did nothing, nothing, they owe my Mother all of that money back.  They should start deducting now and send her a check.

P.J. Redmond maybe, talked to my nephew once if that, John Duffy once if that, Robert Donatoni once if that,  these guys took  $75,000  between  them and did nothing!!!!   They know it,  and I hope they sleep well every night.  Money doesn’t do all that for me, it can come and go, but I could never, ever,  lie, cheat and or steal from someones misery for the all mighty dollar.

They are no better than a drug addict on the street that they claim they help, the only difference is there business is legal.  A drug addict when straight has more morals and conscious then they do.

Again, I hope they can sleep good at night knowing what they did to my Mother.  I hope their $75,000 gets them not only an award, but a path into heaven, because they will need it.

In closing:

The reason I am saying different amounts  is because Robert Donatoni charged a fee of $30,000, but my Mother paid other items that were not in the flat fee for paperwork, and other charges that rang up to about another $5000.00 grand, than she paid Duffy $25,000 with other fees again than kept coming in to the same tune.

My Mother hired John Duffy, not P.J. Redmond, she hired John Duffy for his expected experience.  John Duffy promised her the world than couldn’t even answer a call from her or talk to her. A public defender would have done more than these two.

She took her money from the death of her husband hoping to help her Grandson, and John Duffy and Robert Donatoni had no problem taking it.

What he did was to pressure my Mother into guilt, and promising her she needed him, when he knew he didn’t give a damn. Yeah, John Duffy, you deserve an award, Give Donatoni one too while they are at it.

IF JOHN DUFFY  and  ROBERT DONATONI HAD ANY KIND OF  CONSCIOUS, THEY WOULD GIVE HER MONEY BACK,  AS SHE OWES TAXES AND IS LOSING HER HOUSE BECAUSE SHE PAID  OVER $80,000 FOR TWO ATTORNEYS TO PUT HER GRANDSON AWAY FOR LIFE.   PUBLIC DEFENDERS COULD HAVE DONE IT FOR FREE. She took her little bit of money from her husbands death to pay thinking it would help her Grandson, not throw him away without a fair trial of fair proper representation!!  $ 80,000 plus should have at least got that.

Like I said, so much more, it goes too deep for one post, but the Trial Judge, District Attorney, State Bar, Appellate Judges, also did nothing fair in this case.  Trust me, it’s not sour grapes.  fair is fair, and this wasn’t, but if your going to lock someone up and throw away the key, don’t rob them first, admit your not going to help with his defense and advise them to save their money, it may not be alot to you but $80,000 is a astronomical amount for some!!!  It may also be fair for a good defense, but when you have a file on such a serious trial in a single manilla folder with about 6 pages, you do not deserve that money, not one cent.

We will get into the whole courtroom drama and things that never came out in this drama at a later time, keep checking back, it goes way deeper than this.  We haven’t even touched on it yet.

However John Duffy, you know what you did, you remember, and I hope you can sleep at night, and when you look at that award, think of Brandon, and better yet, think of his poor Grandmother who you and Robert Donatoni took advantage of for the sake of the dollar.  You know, your getting older now and your money is not going to buy your way into heaven!!!

Was it Byrne for Brandon????? The man who lost all his appeals under John Duffy all of the sudden struck a deal????  Hmmmmm

Congratulations on your award.

Much more to come on this. check back.

CANDIE’S FOUNDATION KIDDING?
I’m sorry, but this Bristol Palin thing has gone too far. Why is the media giving this girl so much attention, that’s what they want. First off, it’s a little late to preach abstinence, it’s almost a joke, she slept with a guy, got pregnant, had a baby, lives at home with her rich parents, than is preaching the opposite.

Another thing, she is out preaching how hard it is, no one can believe that coming from her. Even if it is hard for her as she is going to be telling other teens, it will be alot harder for a teen from a poor or middle class family. Bristol lives at home with her wealthy parents and does not have to worry about housing, clothing, food, heat and issues many other young girls will face in that same situation.
Why didn’t Candie ‘s get a teen who maybe isn’t so lucky, and knows the real struggles, and help that girl by having her being a spokesperson, and others who would tend to believe her.
I’m sorry, this is just another spoiled rich kid getting the publicity she wants. What is wrong what this organization?? I’m sorry but what does this girl know about the consequences of teen pregnancy other than giving up her free time now and again.

Bristol Palin commented on her role with The Candie’s Foundation, “I am so happy to have this opportunity to work with The Candie’s Foundation on spreading the message of teen pregnancy prevention. I feel that I could be a living example of the consequences of teen pregnancy.” Palin added, “If I can prevent even one girl from getting pregnant, I will feel a sense of accomplishment.”

Give me a break, just when I thought I have seen everything.

Is it just me or many Chester County Business owners Rude?? I do not know if they are lazy, or rude, or more business than they can handle, or all three!  Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s because I do not always dress up, or run into a store in my sweats.  I have come to say, and right now I will not mention any names, but these business owners need to thank their lucky stars in this economy that they are getting business and be happy.  I know one consignment store in Downingtown, the Lady is so rude, not out and out rude, just no business personality.  It kills her to say Thank You, and or Hi, she just has no personality.  You can walk up to her counter and sit there and wait while she does 100 other unimportant things.  Another hardware store in Thorndale, the guy acts like your bothering him to ring you out, then doesn’t give you a bag, then when you ask for one, he hands it to you so you can bag your 20 items yourself.  Another Computer repair company in Highland Township has no clue , you drop your computer off, he doesn’t remember who you are, you ask him 10 times for a follow up call, yet you still have to call to see if your computer is done, then when you do, he takes an hour to search, after he has worked on your computer and your families 25 times.  You know what people, if your that busy, then I will take my business elsewhere, because obviously you don’t need it, or you don’t like the way I dress, either way, your no business person!!!!  If you have that much business, you need to close shop.
